Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge faoi lán seol i gColáiste Pobail Ros Comáin i rith na seachtaine. On Monday Transition Years had a workshop on the Irish Language from Sorcha Ní Chnoic of Conradh na Gaeilge. Tuesday morning saw first years stepping it out in a Céilí in the GP with help and guidance from the Transition Years. On Tuesday afternoon the Transition Years took to the floor agus bhí an-craic ag gach duine! Wednesday morning the second years teamed up for a very competitive Tráth na gCeist with Jeaic Ó Máinín (4C) doing a fantastic job as quizmháistir. Comhghairdeas to Michael Stevens, Ben Somers, Ciao Mulryan agus Fionáin Gaughan a bhuaigh an tráth na gceist don Dara Bliain.

On Thursday it was the turn of our fifth years who took a break from Prós and Filíocht to test their knowledge as Gaeilge in a Tráth na gCeist in the GP. Celebrations ended on Friday with a musical and dance performance in the GP ag am sosa from our Trad Group.

First years have also been busy taking part in a Comórtas Póstaer over the past fortnight using the Seanfhocail they have been learning in class and winners of this competition will be announced shortly.

Roinn na Gaeilge would like to extend a special Míle Buíochas to a very dedicated and hardworking group of Transition Year students who are always close at hand to promote Gaeilge and help in whatever way they can to share their grá don Ghaeilge with the rest of the school.”Beatha teanga í a labhairt.”
