On Tuesday the 22nd of November, our RCC Senior and Junior Quiz teams travelled to McHale College in Tuam, Co. Galway where they took part in the first leg of the GRETB Quiz League. Our senior team won the competition last year, so the pressure was high coming into this event as defending champions. The senior team did brilliantly to handle that pressure and secured first place with a score of 87 out of 100. Our junior team also put in a very strong performance securing third place with a score of 75 out of 100. Congratulations to both teams whose attention will now turn to legs two and three which take place in the new year. Our senior team consisted of Luke Fitzmuarice (6th year), Daniel Hegarty (6th year), Elliot Grealy (6th year) and Jennifer Coyle (5th year). Our junior team consisted of Riley Davies (3rd year), Alanna Cleary (3rd year), Amal Manoj (3rd year), Jacob McConnell O’Rourke (2nd year) and Claire Fetherston (1st year).
