We recently had College Awareness Week at RCC, and it was a week full with a bustling range of guest speakers and engaging activities! Firstly, a big thank you to Deputy Principal David Downey from Sligo College of Further Education, the North West’s leading provider of QQI accredited PLC courses at Level 5 and 6. David gave a comprehensive presentation on the diverse range of courses available to our 6th year students who greatly appreciated it.
We were also delighted to welcome Hazel Fleming from GTI, who spoke to our 5th year students and LCA group about progression routes within FET and GTI. Hazel’s presentation was incredibly informative, offering valuable insights into future educational pathways. Finally, thank you to Senior Engineer Maria Rooney from Tobin Consulting Engineers in Galway, for speaking to our 5th and 6th year Engineering students. It was a great presentation highlighting all of the opportunities available to our students interested in pursuing a career in Civil Engineering.
