14th May 2021

On Tuesday 11th  May all 2nd  Year students took part in a STEM and sustainable development goals-based workshop with Maynooth University. The objective of this workshop, facilitated by Jack Ffrench, was to demonstrate to students how space data, particularly free Copernicus earth observation data, can be used to help address UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students were able to investigate how Ireland currently uses satellites and can use satellites to reach out SDGs. A very interesting educational experience for all involved.
