John Hooper Statistics Medal Award Ceremony took place in Croke Park on Wednesday 19th  October. 

Nathan mac and Bháird and Alicia nic an Bháird collected their award for 2nd place in this National Statistics Competition following their outstanding presentation to the audience on their research project on mobile phone use, titled ‘What Are Yor Phone Habits?’. Their project investigated trends of teenager use of mobile phones at local, national and international level. 

Also honoured at the ceremony were Heather O’ Sullivan and Daniel Hegarty receiving an Order of Merit Recognition Award for their research project on voting practices in Ireland titled, ‘Turning Out in Force’.

 

Roscommon Community College were not alone the only school to have two projects recognised on the day but were also the only school in Connacht to be recognised in this year’s John Hooper competition. Congratulations to all students involved, we are extremely proud of your achievements.
