RCC Junior Camogie had a busy week as they embarked on their Connacht Colleges championship campaign for the 2022/23 season with two games against Boyle Community College and Ballyhaunis Community College.
We welcomed our new first years to the team; Isabella Flynn, Erin Whyte, Lara Humbourg, Eabhanna Sheridan, Katie Hegarty, Caoimhe Murray and Grace Connolly. All played an important role in both games.
Our first match against Boyle was a momentous occasion and an historic day within Roscommon Camogie circles as it was the first time two ETB schools played against each other. It shows how the development of camogie in the county is going from strength to strength.
Whilst our girls put in a valiant team effort in both games the scores did not go our way both days as we faced much stronger teams.
Throughout the week we saw fantastic sports participation from our whole squad with some stellar performances from Holly McDermott, Alana Campbell, Shona Kennedy and Ciara Allen.
