Congratulations to the RCC senior debating team who secured another win in the Concern Worldwide debate programme when they overcame Dundalk Grammar School recently.

The team had to propose the motion that ”African nations must be allowed to develop fossil fuel resources to help lift their people out of poverty”. ️The team won the debate on a final score of 3 rounds to 1. With two wins from two, the team has put themselves in a strong position to make the knockout phase of the competition.  The team consisted of Heather Captain (6th Year), Daniel (6th Year), Aidan (6th Year), Jade (6th Year), Liam (5th Year) and Orla (5th Year). Next up are defending champions Largy College, Monaghan on the 14th of December.
