Roscommon Community College 4-5 Ballyhaunis CS 0-2
Our Senior Ladies Camogie team put up an incredible performance against Ballyhaunis Community School. This exciting match got off to an energetic start with Kirstin Cronin scoring an outstanding opening point. Throughout the first half our girls fought very hard with exceptional defending displayed by sisters Shauna and Hollie McDermott. Katelyn Lynch, Siafra Finneran, Mairéad Lohan, and Aoibhinn Murray all added scores during the half leaving RCC with a healthy lead coming into half time. Ballyhaunis, eager for a goal, put up the challenge against goalkeeper Andrea Fallon, however it proved unsuccessful with a mighty save from Fallon on the goal line leaving the score to 2-3 to 1 point at the close of the first half. Ballyhaunis came out strong in the second half pucking a quick and skilful point over the bar. RCC hit back in style with a determined goal from Aoibhinn Murray in the right-hand corner of the net and some brilliant points by Kirsten Cronin. Despite the great efforts from Ballyhaunis, in the end RCC finished the game to take the victory with a score line of 4-5 to 0-2. Best of luck to the girls who will play Sacred Heart School Westport next week.
