Josh Byrne and Nicole Croghan made their school and community proud when they attended their first Sci-fest competition in Coláiste Baile Clár on April 1st and walked away with a prize for Best Communicators. The event celebrated the innovative and diligent work of young scientists from GRETB schools. The talented students from Roscommon Community College impressed the judges with their project titled “Investigating the Melting Point of Different Types of Chocolate.” Through meticulous experimentation and data analysis, they concluded that white chocolate melts the quickest due to the absence of cocoa beans. This insightful finding showcased not only their scientific curiosity but also their excellent presentation skills, earning them the well-deserved title of ‘Best Communicators’. Roscommon Community College takes immense pride in their accomplishments and their commitment to scientific exploration.
