Our TY students were thrilled to have their first trip of the year to Causey Farm, Co. Meath on Wednesday last. They thoroughly enjoyed all the activities on offer.
Upon arrival, they were introduced to brown bread making. Once the brown bread was safely put in the oven, they took a trip around the farm. They were up close and personal with the lamas, alpacas and cows and even fed the horses!!!
Later saw the group climb into a trailer, attached to a tractor, that was used to transport the group to the bog for some fun and exciting bog jumping. The weather was perfect for this activity and added to everyone’s experience.
To finish off their day, they all were invited into a barn to practice some Irish dancing and play the bodhrán. They learned new dances and new songs and finished the day with smiles all around.
A wonderful bonding experience to start off the year.
