As part of our business links to the community, students studying Leaving Certificate Business and LCVP visited Elevate in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. During this trip, students had the opportunity to attend an informative talk from Chief Executive Officer, Colm Wright, who provided students with an in-depth overview of life as an entrepreneur in Ireland. The trip provided an educational opportunity for students to see the real-life applications of the academic content covered in the Leaving Cert Business and LCVP curricula.
Students also had the opportunity to work in teams during the laser tag activity and got to test their driving skills in the electric Sodi Karts on the custom designed high-speed tracks. Students’ feedback from the day highlighted the importance of building links between academia and entrepreneurship beyond the classroom. An insightful day was enjoyed by Business and LCVP students.
