School Improvement and Evaluation

At Roscommon Community College we strive to cultivate an empowering educational environment where every student is encouraged to develop a strong sense of self-efficacy and holistic wellbeing, grounded in our core values of academic excellence, community, respect, care, and equality. We recognize that continuous school improvement is vital to ensuring that every student receives the highest quality education. To guide our improvement efforts, we adhere to a comprehensive school self-evaluation (SSE) process that promotes transparency, accountability, and sustained progress. School self-evaluation empowers a school community to identify and affirm good practice, and to identify and act on areas that merit improvement.

Following this six-step process ensures that our school improvement efforts are systematic, data-driven, and collaborative. It enables us to build on our successes, address challenges proactively, and create an educational environment where every student can thrive.

Currently, our SSE focus is on Wellbeing and, our core value of, Community. This is part of our three-year improvement plan and is guided by Looking At Our Schools 2022, Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice and our DEIS Plan. Roscommon Community College is committed to following and adhering to the SSE process.
