Applied Maths

Leaving Certificate applied mathematics is a syllabus based on mathematical physics.  

Through the course of their studies, students will cover the following applied mathematics fields

·       Motion of a particle.
·       Newton’s laws
·       Uniform Acceleration
·       Statics
·       Hydro Statics
·       Circular Motion
·       Work, Power, Energy and Momentum.
·       Impact and Collisions
·       Simple Harmonic Motion
·       Moments of Inertia

The syllabus is provided at two levels – Higher and Ordinary level and is assessed by a final examination, by the State Examinations Commission.
