Ward & Burke CEO Michael Ward Inspires RCC Students with Insights on Success, Hard Work, and Career Choices

On Wednesday, 6th November, students at Roscommon Community College (RCC) had the unique privilege of meeting Michael Ward, the dynamic CEO of Ward & Burke Construction. Michael, an engineer by trade and a native of Creggs, shared insights from his journey and the
principles that guide his life and business. His company, Ward & Burke Construction, employs 1,700 people worldwide and champions innovative practices across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Process, and Automation & Control engineering
disciplines.
During his presentation, Michael highlighted Ward & Burke’s commitment to environmental responsibility, including their alignment with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) NetZero Standard, which is integral to their climate and energy strategies. He urged students to choose careers aligned with their interests and personalities. “Being true to yourself and doing what you love with pride will fuel your enthusiasm and drive success.”
