We were delighted to be part of Jigsaws One Good School, Peer Education programme last year. Peer education is a health promotion approach that uses peer networks to deliver educational and skill-building material to promote health and wellbeing. Seven Transition Year students were involved in the “It’s time to Start Talking” programme. The students attended workshops delivered by Jigsaw Roscommon.  Through these programmes, trained peer educators delivered mental health workshops to our 1st Year students in the school. Last week, the peer educators attended a ceremony and were awarded certificates for their work in promoting positive mental health in Roscommon Community College. Well done to all of our students involved.
