Congratulations to the 5th year students who were recently awarded a level 6 National Framework Qualification at a Graduation Ceremony in ATU Sligo for their completion of the STEM Passport for Inclusion Programme. This programme is a joint initiative by Maynooth University, Microsoft Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland and the Department of Education. Students successfully completed engaging workshops and assignments in ‘21st Century STEM Skills’, thus providing a pathway to progress to 3rd level education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

The awards ceremony was attended by dignitaries from ATU Sligo, Maynooth University and Optum Ireland. The programme helps to develop important skills needed for STEM degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This is a significant achievement as valuable CAO points have now been earned towards STEM courses at Maynooth University.

Congratulations are also extended to Ms. Conway on achieving the Teacher’s Award at ATU for her outstanding contribution to the STEM Passport for Inclusion Project.
