The Great RCC TY Bake Off commenced on Tuesday 15th November. This is an annual event organised by the Home Economics Department that provides an opportunity for TY students to showcase their baking abilities and creativity.
Two heats were held, which saw 11 contenders in total competing to obtain a place in the final. The students were challenged to bake cupcakes or a traybake that were attractively decorated using a buttercream icing/fondant. The standard set was extremely high which made the judging process a difficult one. All participants presented their baked goods to the eager judges who then had the difficult task of choosing 8 finalists. The 8 finalists will now begin the preparation process for the finale which will be held on Tuesday 6th December 2022.
