Representatives from the Marie Keating Foundation recently visited the school to speak to 5th Year Biology students. The Marie Keating Foundation ‘Schools Cancer Awareness Programme’ aims to help secondary school students (1st year-6th year) to learn how to reduce their risk of cancer and how to spot the signs and symptoms early.  This was a very informative talk and covered topics such as cancer prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, breast cancer, cervical cancer and the HPV vaccine, lung cancer, skin cancer, testicular cancer and taking time to look after your body and mind. A sincere thanks is extended to the guest speakers from the Marie Keating Foundation for engaging so positively and informatively with our senior students.
