On Tuesday morning last the RCC Senior Ladies Gaelic Football team captained by Shauna McDermott secured themselves a great win against Castlerea Community School. They started off with a strong first half despite playing against the breeze. Although the opposition was strong the RCC ladies never gave up. All the girls worked hard, and it paid off.
Going into the second half, the RCC Ladies made it known that they were determined to get the win. A super display of skill, teamwork and determination was shown by all players throughout the match. Many impressive scores were achieved by the girls with the final score being 7-14 to 1-6. The girls will now qualify for the senior shield competition after the October midterm. Well done to all!
