Social Personal Health Education (SPHE)
The course content is based around Relationship and Sexuality Education.
Students engage in lessons that explore the following topics:
- Human Growth and Development
- Human Sexuality
- Human Relationships
These topics will have been introduced in Junior Cycle and are further developed according to age and maturity.
Lessons that incorporate aspects of mental and emotional health, drug and alcohol awareness and personal health and safety are also woven through the course.
