Last Wednesday the 22nd of November our Learning for Life class took the train to Portarlington to visit SOLAS Eco Garden centre. For some of the students this was their first experience on a train so great excitement was had. At the SOLAS Eco Garden centre our Learning for Life students got to make Christmas wreaths, have a tour of the garden centre, and learned about sustainable practices as part of their work in Horticulture class. The students had great fun and really enjoyed their day out. Thanks to Ms Drury for organising this trip while also a special thanks to Ms O’Brien and SNA’s Martina McQuaid, Mary Feeley and Clare Wallace for accompanying the students.
